Stepping Stones 'Health & Employment'
Purpose of Service
Stepping Stones 'Health & Employment' (Lot 6) is a project to help and support people with mental health problems.
It is funded by Manchester City Council and delivered by not-for-profit organisation Work Solutions. Our specialist advisers offer advice and guidance in an informal setting on a 1:1 basis or in group workshops.
Stepping Stones Offers
- One to one confidential, personal advice.
- Access to a free 2 day motivational course ‘GOALS' to help build confidence and self esteem.
- Help with job search, CV compilation.
- In depth support package including holistic activities to help manage your depression/anxiety.
- Help to access other agencies where appropriate, debt, housing, drug/alcohol problems, benefit advice.
- Voluntary work / training opportunities and pre-recruitment courses.
Advisers are located in South, North and Central Manchester:
- Wythenshawe Forum Mon/Wed/Thu/Fri (9am -5pm)
- Moston Lane Shop Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri (9am - 5pm)
- Manchester Airport JCP Tuesday (10am - 4pm)
- Longsight Work Solutions Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri (9am - 5pm)
Eligibility
In order to access Stepping Stones you must meet the criteria below:
Registered as Unemployed
In receipt of Incapacity Benefit 2years plus or other health related benefits
Aged 25 years plus
A Manchester resident
