Purpose of Service

The service is open to people throughout the area who want extra support to find employment.
An Employment and Training Consultant will work with you on a one to one basis to increase confidence, assess your skills and develop a back to work plan.
Clients also have access to job specific training courses that will develop skills and enhance employability.

What the Service does for Clients

We'll carry out an initial assessment with eligible clients to establish barriers to employment and to discuss job goals. We can then help you with:

• Arranging a Better off Calculation (BOC)
• To improve your personal skills we can offer access to Employability Courses and Confidence Building Training Sessions
• Providing access to Job Specific Training Courses
• Offering Ongoing 'In Work' Support once you have started work

Suporting you with Job search activities such as:

• Running regular Job Clubs which you can come along to
• Assistance with job applications in our Job Application Support Service
• Regular CV Workshops
• Interview Techniques Training Sessions to help to help you secure "That Perfect Job"
  
• Grants and Funding advice to assist with the financial transition into employment

Eligibility

In order to access the ESF / DWP Interventions 2-4 Service clients must meet the criteria below:
In receipt of JSA for less than 26 weeks or
Lone parent or
In receipt of Incapacity Benefit / ESA or
Not currently claiming any benefit
