Work Solutions achieve continued success
|

| Following the success of the Wigan-based "PETE Project", an employability programme for substance misusers delivered in partnership by Work Solutions and CRI, the programme is set for expansion into East Lancashire.
Launched on the 1st April 2010, the new Inspire service will offer a comprehensive, end-to-end care plan to support individuals through their treatment journey towards sustained abstinence. Service users will be encouraged to engage with recovery networks and be supported to access education, voluntary and employment opportunities and abstinent and supported housing. Work Solutions, working in partnership with CRI and Acorn Treatment & Housing will contribute to service user care plans from day one of treatment; education, training and preparation for employment forming an integral part of the recovery process. |

David Vaughan, Work Solutions Service Manager, said:
Inspire will be delivered from bases in Burnley, Accrington, Rawtenstall, Nelson and Clitheroe, community venues and GP surgeries. Outreach centres will be used to provide additional support to service users and a mobile unit will enable the service to be provided in hard to reach areas. |
