Manchester Solutions

Working in Partnership

Work Solutions, established in 2000, is a not-for-profit organisation. Since 2000, Work Solutions has grown in terms of staffing, turnover, geographical coverage and range of services offered. Today Work Solutions has over 200 staff and delivers a wide variety of services focussed upon employability, skills and recruitment from our own sites as well as within prisons, employers' and other partners' premises.

As a not-for-profit organisation Work Solutions works closely with a number of key partners to:

  • Ensure Work Solutions' activities support wider economic development strategies.
  • Complement the relevant service develo pment strategies of partners such as Housing Associations, Probation Service, Jobcentre Plus, Colleges of Further Education and area based Regeneration Partnerships.
  • Deliver complementary services to other community-based organisations.
  • Work with local colleges and other training providers to expand and enhance the range of learning and learner support available locally.

Work Solutions has strong working relationships with local authorities and their wider partnerships.  The ten local authorities of Greater Manchester agree Work Solutions' annual business plan and have representation on the Work Solutions Board.

We work closely with community and voluntary sector organisations to deliver learning programmes and provide work experience. Such partnerships include Groundwork Trusts, Housing Associations and Learn Net.

You can access the websites of many of our partners here.

We enjoy well developed relationships with a wide range of employers for whom we deliver a variety of recruitment and training services.  Employer involvement in our Board contributes to driving operations and the direction of the company.
